I almost ruined a box of cigars a good friend gave me.

A close friend of mine got me into cigars. When we moved out of Miami after COVID ended, he left me with a some really good ones told me to grab a humidity pack to keep them properly. So I did. I bought the first one that popped up on Amazon and didn't think twice about it.

A few weeks later, he came by and saw the pack I was using. Wrong one. Thankfully he caught it before the cigars were ruined. I didn't even know it mattered. I figured a humidity pack was a humidity pack.

So I went down the rabbit hole. Learned about the different humidity levels, sizes, and how they behave. I finally got the right pack, but during the process I realized there weren't many brands to choose from, and they didn't look cool. I can't help it, I'm a sucker for things that look cool...Also, I couldn't figure out why my favorite cigar brands didn't have custom packs to elevate their own packaging.

Eventually after trying to pitch some other friends on starting a humidity control brand (no luck) I decided to do it myself.

I came up with the name walking around Los Angeles. Told myself I wasn't going home until I had one. I walked past the fifth valet stand and it clicked. A valet's job is taking care of your effects on your behalf so you can enjoy yourself. You know, your car keys, but also when you go to a nice restaurant or lounge and they hand you a towel, a spritz of cologne or a breath mint.

For the formulations, I had help from my younger brother, who's getting his PhD in chemistry. We ran hundreds of experiments until we nailed it.

In college I worked in manufacturing and loved it. So I bought the equipment, set up a small facility, and determined to do it myself.

We're starting with humidity control, but won't stop there. We're working on a lot of different innovations to improve your cigar experience, and we're excited to keep sharing them with you.
