About the 65% Two-Way Humidity Pack
Valet 65% humidity packs are two-way, salt-based packs built for aging cigars in plastic. Use them in tupperdors, pelican cases and sealed mason jars when you want a slower, drier rest for your collection. Not for wood humidors.
Who the 65% pack is for
In plastic containers, 65% RH creates the slower, drier conditions preferred for long-term aging. Lower humidity slows the chemical processes in tobacco, allowing flavors to develop more gradually and concentrate over time.
This is the preferred range for Cubans and other premium blends being put away for years rather than months. It's also the right choice for collectors who prefer a drier smoke profile or are storing cigars in a climate-controlled environment where ambient humidity is already low.
Works in semi-airtight containers like cooler setups and acrylic jars, where it settles at roughly 63 to 64% effective humidity. Not recommended for wood humidors. Cedar absorbs too much moisture at this RH level and the pack cannot maintain its target in an unsealed environment. For wood, use the 69% humidity pack or the 72% humidity pack.
How many packs do I need?
Use one 60g pack for every 25 cigars your container can hold. Size by capacity, not by how full it is. A 50-count humidor takes two packs even when it is half empty.
For travel cases and tubes, use one 8g pack per 5 cigars.
How long does a pack last?
A 60g pack lasts 3 to 6 months. Replace it when it feels hard and has no give.
Two-way and salt-based
The pack adds moisture when your container is dry and absorbs it when it is wet. Salt's unique chemical properties let it hold a steady humidity level as moisture changes. Salt-free packs can't maintain steady levels over time like salt-based packs can. Made in the USA with reverse-osmosis filtered water. Non-acidic.
